Description
ULTRACAST® NSi30 – An aqueous solution of colloidal silica stabilized in an alkaline medium. Colloidal silicon dioxide is used as a binder with refractory materials such as aluminum oxide, disten sillimanite, fused quartz and zircon. These systems are used for casting most types of metals and alloys.
They provide a long service life, safety and environmental friendliness.
Description and advantages:
Slurry prepared with ULTRACAST NSi30 basic waterbased binders has stable rheological characteristics, a long cycle of "survivability" and minimum requirements for maintaining slurry in work condition. The NSi30 is a component of a multicomponent system.
Increased resistance to cracking during application of refractory coating and dewaxing is achieved by additional introduction of modified ULTRACAST FastPro copolymer into binder, as well as a wetting agent, defoamer and bactericide, in proportions depending on required properties of ceramic shell.
Technical specifications:
In manufacture of ceramic shells, drying time of coats is reduced while observing parameters of environment of site. Drying time of coat can reach 1 hour.

Transportation and storage conditions
Store in polymer containers with a tightly closed lid, in a dry, heated room. Storage and transportation at a temperature of at least + 5 ° C. If product is constantly exposed to temperatures above 35 °C, its shelf life may be shortened.
