ULTRACAST® WAX A1801

Description

ULTRACAST® WAX А 1801 – A special filled wax used in manufacture of soluble cores to form complex cavities in wax patterns. It is characterized by high surface quality, strength characteristics and low linear shrinkage.

Recommendations for use

Wax melts at temperatures of 80-90 ° C. During melting, the wax should be continuously mixed with minimal air entrainment, manually or by means of mixing devices. Injection temperature should be set in range of 50-65 °C to achieve good surface quality of core.

Pressure during injection of water-soluble cores is set in the range from 15 to 45 kg/cm2 and is selected depending on size and design features of cores. After injection of core, it is necessary to complete solidification in die-mold.

Storage of manufactured cores should be carried out in rooms with minimum humidity of 15-30% and temperature of 18-24 ° C. Cores are dissolved in a water bath with water temperature of 16-25 ° C. To speed up process of core dissolving, it is recommended to use air agitation (bubbling), a flow of water in bath, or addition of HCl to a value of 0.5-2% solution in water.

When core is dissolved, precipitation in water is allowed.

Transportation and storage conditions

Store in a dry, closed room at a temperature no higher than +240C and humidity no more than 30%, at a distance of at least 1 meter from heating devices.
